Volkswagen ID.4: three things to know about VW’s new EV

Volkswagen is going full electric and the ID.4 is the first in a long line of new EVs coming from Volkswagen. The ID.4 isn’t VW’s first electric vehicle, but it is the first EV to built on a dedicated platform. Here are three things that stand out about the new ID.4.

World Vehicle of the Year

When a new model hits the market, it is normal to have some doubts about it. However, when 93 experts who are spread across 28 countries around the world agree to make it the global vehicle of the year 2021, that tells you a lot. The Volkswagen ID.4 was named World Vehicle of the Year and is certainly starting off on the right foot. Or wheel.

Spacious

Inside, there is a spacious cabin and with a flat floor in the rear meaning that the second row occupants will have a ton of space available. Vehicles often advertise themselves with five seats, but in reality, comfort is only for four; this is not the case with ID.4. There’s also 1,818 litres of total cargo space in the back.

Range

The Volkswagen ID.4 offers 400 kilometres of range, but it can also charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes. It offers 100 kilometres of range after just 10 minutes.

As a consumer, there is only one thing left for you to do; come and try it out.
